Mega Man Tactics Board Game

In the 2016, Jasco Games published the Mega Man Board Game. The game was based on the first Mega Man game, with colorful miniatures and lots of printed materials. 2-6 players raced to defeat Wily's robot masters and eventually defeat Wily, himself. The concept of the game was great, and it did a good job emulating some aspects of the video game in board game style. However, the game wasn't fun. The competitve aspects made the game way too long and stopped being enjoyable very quickly.

After backing the Mega Man Board Game on Kickstarter, and being subsequently disappointed, I decided to modify the rules to make it fun! It didn't take long for me to realize I just couldn't salvage their rules, so I started from scratch. I designed a turn-based, cooperative, tactical board game for up to six players. The only thing I'm using from the original Jasco Games board game are the miniatures. I dubbed my newly created system Mega Man Tactics. The game is still in development and has a lot of playtesting and iteration ahead of it, but I will try to provide updates here as progress is made on the game.
